David Cameron is a research expert with major clinical interest in breast cancer.
He is currently Professor of Oncology at Edinburgh University and Director of Cancer Services in NHS Lothian with responsibility for oversight and strategy of clinical and translational research in cancer in Edinburgh. He has been an Executive Board Member of the Breast International Group (BIG) since 2010.
David Cameron passionately believes that clinical research underpins not only the evidence base for the use of various cancer treatments, but also the quality of care of all patients.
David Cameron received his medical degree in 1986 from St. George’s Hospital Medical School, London and completed a fellowship and MSc in Clinical Oncology at the University of Edinburgh. He received a M.D. with distinction in 1997 and completed his training as a medical oncologist that same year.
