Riccardo Soffietti is an expert in clinical neuro-oncology and research including designing, coordinating and conducting clinico-translational trials as well as monitoring treatment effects with advanced neuroimaging techniques.

Currently Professor of Neurology and Neuro-Oncology at the University of Turin, Italy, he was a Founding Member and Member of the Steering Committee of the European Association for Neuro-Oncology (EANO), as well as its President from 2012 to 2014 included. He has been Member of the EANO Executive Board since 2008.

Riccardo Soffietti provides cancer expertise for European research projects as well as for initiatives of the Ministry of Health and Research of Italy, France, Switzerland and the Netherlands. He is also Advisor to the European Medicines Agency (EMA), Member of the International Group Response Assessment in Neuro-Oncology (RANO), and Member of Cochrane Group for Brain Tumors.

His educational background is a Degree in Medicine and Board in Neurology, University of Turin, Italy.
